OSWEGO, N.Y. — The long winter wait is nearly over! The International SuperModified Association is set to kick off its 2022 season Saturday, June 4 with the first-ever Winged Super Challenge event at the Home of the Supermodifieds, Oswego Speedway.
An outstanding purse topped by a $6,000-to-win payout will attract the best supermodified racers in the country to Oswego for this year's 50-lap opener. The Winged Super Challenge, promoted by 2021 ISMA Owner champion John Nicotra with Oswego Speedway, ISMA and the Midwest Supermodified Series, will attract the best big-block super racers in the country including Midwest, Canadian and New England teams plus many Oswego regulars.
In addition to the start of this year's ISMA series, the event marks the first round of the new three-race Oswego Winged Super Challenge series. The events — June 4, July 9 and August 13 — boast a special $15,000 bonus point fund that will pay back the top 10 at the conclusion of the August 13 round.
