Sandusky Hy-Miler Nationals
July 29 - July 30

Sandusky Speedway has been known for supermodified racing for more than five decades. A paperclip-shaped half-mile oval located near downtown Sandusky, Ohio, the track once ran big-block supers on a weekly basis and continues to host one of the biggest supermodified races of the year, the annual Hy-Miler Nationals on the last weekend of July.
Sandusky’s Hy-Miler Nationals — July 29-30 in 2023 — features an ISMA/MSS “Fast” 40-lapper Friday night and the 100-lap Nationals Saturday night. Sandusky’s stands are routinely packed for the event with fans attending from all over the country and Canada, and many of the best supermodified drivers in history have won the event.
The speedway’s weekly divisions including modifieds and stock cars serve as support divisions both Friday and Saturday nights. The action opens Thursday night with a fan appreciation show including several of Sandusky’s regular divisions.
Defending Hy-Miler winners are Otto Sitterly (Fast 40) and Mike Ordway Jr. (Nationals 100).
