JENNERSTOWN, Pa. — The International Supermodified Association returns to western Pa.’s Jennerstown Speedway this weekend — Saturday, May 13 — for the 2023 season opener with the Midwest Supermodified Series.
While ISMA and MSS co-sanctioned several races in 2022, this weekend’s Jennerstown 50 marks the first event for the newly merged ISMA / MSS series.
Nine drivers have supermodified wins at Jennerstown with Otto Sitterly the most recent winner in September 2021. Supermodified legends Chris Perley and Bentley Warren own the most ISMA wins at the 0.533-mile oval. Perley has six wins while Warren has five. Other multi-time J-Town super winners are Pat Abold with three and Mike Ordway Sr. with two.
Most drivers in this weekend’s field will be searching for their first career win at the track. Sitterly and Mike Lichty are the only past Jennertown winners expected to be in this Saturday’s field.
Tickets for the event are on sale HERE. Spectator gates will open at 3pm and racing begins at 6pm. Six of Jennerstown weekly divisions are also on the card. The rain date is Sunday, May 14.
