Oswego, N.Y. (August 13, 2018) - The ISMA contingent is starting a whirlwind couple weeks with shows at Lee USA which hosts the annual Ollie Silva Memorial race and then moves south to New London Waterford Speedbowl for their traditional Wings and Wheels. There will be little time after that to prepare for the final Delaware Speedway program and to the conclusion of the Lennox Memorial Bonus Point Fund which was announced earlier this season.
"The Harvey Lennox Memorial Tammy Ten Bonus Point Fund”, sponsored by Arctic Equipment Manufacturing, Co (London, ON); Corr/Pak Merchandising (Richmond Hill, ON); Murrays Automatic Transmission Centre (London, ON); and Patco Transportation (Ayr, ON) came in existence prior to the June 1 ISMA race at Delaware Speedway thanks to the sponsors and supporters listed.
This bonus will be awarded to the Top 5 Car Owners based on points earned at the 3 Canadian Races (Delaware 6/1/18, Jukasa 7/14/18, and Delaware 8/18/18) in 2018. The total point fund bonus payout is an awesome $7,000 with the payout as follows:
Two first-time ISMA feature winners lead the way into the final Delaware point tally. Kyle Edwards of Bartlett, TN, took home the first Delaware win and his first-career ISMA win. Following Edwards across the line in June were Mike Lichty, Timmy Jedrzejek, Mike Ordway Jr. and Trent Stephens.
Moving on to Jukasa Speedway on July 14, Danny Bowes also came home with his first-career ISMA win and by so doing moved into second in the Harv Lennox Memorial Bonus Point Fund points. Trailing Dan at Jukasa were Jon McKennedy, Johnny Benson Jr., Michael Muldoon and Edwards.
Edwards fifth place on July 14 moved him into the Lennox Memorial Tammy Ten points lead. Dan Bowes moved to second but not by many markers. Lichty, Ordway Jr. and Stephens round out the top five money spots but Mark Sammut, Timmy Jedrzejek, Michael Muldoon, Mike McVetta and Moe Lilje, are definitely still in the running to move up. It should be an exciting finish which adds some extra money to each team in the top five as the race season heads into the home stretch.
Rounding out the remainder of those garnering points are Rich Reid, Dave McKnight, Larry Lehnert, Jon McKennedy, Johnny Benson, Jim Paller, Ben Seitz, Talon Stephens, Dave Duggan and Dave Shullick Jr. Some of the aforementioned did not compete in both of the first two shows.
The final leg of the Harvey Lennox Memorial Tammy Ten Bonus Series takes place at Delaware Speedway on August 18 with a 75 lapper. ISMA is joined by the Vintage Modifieds, and the Ontario Modified Racing Series 50. Pit gates open at 4:00 pm, Grandstand at 6:00 pm and racing starts at 7:30 pm.
