JUNE 2, 2021 – On Wednesday June 9, Seekonk Speedway will be the site of ISMA's first racing event of the season. Located in Seekonk, Mass., the 1/3 mile oval has been the site of nine exciting ISMA races going back to 1996 when Mike Ordway Sr. drove to victory in a spring 75 lapper. The win list over the years includes Chris Perley in 2001, Lou Cicconi in 2002, Bentley Warren and Chris Perley taking the 2003 shows, Rick Wenworth in 2004, Chris Perley 2005, Johnny Benson Jr. in 2010 and 2011. JANUARY 8, 2021 - The International Super Modified Association has released a tentative 2021 schedule that includes 11 exciting winged, big-block supermodified race dates at 10 speedways across the Northeast, Ohio and Ontario, Canada.
With releasing the schedule in January 2021, ISMA officers hope this gives race teams plenty of time to make preparations as we all keep an eye on the ongoing COVID-19 pandemic that continues to grip the United States and the rest of the world.
If all goes according to plan, ISMA won't begin 2021 racing until Wednesday, June 9 with a second attempt at a special mid-week non-points event at Seekonk Speedway in Massachusetts. ISMA will join the NEMA midgets for their running of the Boston Louie Memorial plus the NEMA Lites division.
