Oswego, NY (Sept. 5, 2015) - The day at Oswego Speedway did not start out well for Timmy Jedrzejek and the Lane Racing team when they blew a rear end in practice. They almost called it quits, but instead the team went to work and got the car repaired in time to take the last time trial of the afternoon. From there it was on to a second place in a heat and a sixth place starting spot in the the 22nd annual Oswego Speedway Super Nationals 60, after which Jedrzejek would come home with his third win in the prestigious event. The win brought his Oswego Speedway winged career feature win mark up to six and was worth $6,000.
Delaware, Ontario (Aug. 21, 2015) – Dave Shullick Jr. opened the ISMA season with a last lap pass win at Delaware International Speedway in May. Shullick of North Ridgeville, Ohio came back strong to win the 75-lap ISMA Super Modified main event presented by Don-Mor Carstar Friday evening in front of a packed house at Delaware Speedway. Shullick, who started fourth in the event, was the ISMA points leader entering the evening and his strong performance ensures that he left the night with that lead intact. It was Shullick's third win of the 2015 season.
Waterford, CT (Aug. 8, 2015) – Mike Lichty's first-ever ISMA career win came at the New London Waterford Speedbowl on May 29, 2010. After some rough times this season he was more than happy to be standing in victory lane Saturday night after the ISMA 50 as part of Wings and Wheels night. Starting fifth in the 18-car field, Lichty caught up to leader Chris Perley, who was mired behind a back-marker for many laps, finally using that same car as a pick to get by both for the lead with fifteen to go. The race, which only saw one quick caution, was completed in less than 15 minutes.
Lee, NH (Aug. 7, 2015) – Ohioan Dave Shullick Jr., was no a stranger to victory lane when he pulled into it at Lee USA last night. He had won the Ollie Silva Classic in 2008 driving the Clyde Booth 61. Friday night he brought his Bodnar-built 95, nicknamed Fire, to continue his quest for a first-ever ISMA championship in 2015. And, winning the 75-lap grind over some of winged supermodified's best, certainly helped his cause. Going into Lee he was the point leader. He came away with an even stronger lead.
Sandusky, OH – July 25, 2015 – Jon McKennedy became the seventh different ISMA winner this season when he came home with a first-ever Hy-Miler 100 win Saturday night. While Jon had not been in victory lane at this prestigious race which dates back 38 years, the car he was driving had been. Last season owners Clyde and Susan Booth stood in victory lane with Lou Cicconi who took his first ever Hy-Miler victory in the same car. For Chelmsford, Mass. driver McKennedy it was his seventh ISMA victory and the biggest to date. Jon acknowledged that fact in victory lane.
Sandusky, Ohio (July 24, 2015) – Ravenna, Ohio's Trent Stephens took command of the Friday Night Fast Forty at Sandusky Speedway from the drop of the green and never looked back. And, for a while, that was perhaps a good thing as several competitors like Dan Bowes, Jeff Locke, and Ben Seitz were within striking distance in the early going. But quickly Stephens, looking for his first ISMA win, pulled away from the pack, leaving some distance between his Stout 19 and the Locke 37. Only one yellow past the midway mark, bunched up the field, but Trent put the 19 out front and kept it there. Stephens breathed a sigh of relief standing in victory lane, after what has been a rather difficult season to date.
Lorain County Speedway and ISMA officials struggle with finding a make-up date but none work
South Amherst, OH (July 15, 2015) – ISMA officials have offered up four potential make-up dates for the Saturday portion of the Dave & Buster’s ISMA Summercade that was washed out on June 27, 2015. All four dates have significant enough drawbacks that will unfortunately prevent the event from being rescheduled this year. The potential make-up dates are in direct conflict with either the Lorain County Fair, a scheduled MSA event at a neighboring track, the year end Cavalcade at a neighboring track or a date that was too soon to be able to promote and advertise it properly.
Oswego, NY (July 11, 2015) - Canajoharie's Otto Sitterly has won many features, a number of championships and Classics, at Oswego Speedway, but the one title that alluded him until Saturday night, was the King of Wings. This was primarily due to the fact that he was not a regular winged supermodified driver. But that all changed when he teamed, last year, with Dave Shullick Jr. and the Bodnar team based in Ohio. Shullick had accumulated quite a list of accomplishments in his career, but his came with a wing strapped on his potent supermodified. The goal became that each talented driver switch roles. Otto wanted to win in a winged car and Shullick in a non-winged car and the quest began. At the 50-lap King of Wings VII Sitterly notched his first winged win with relative ease. He started on the pole and led every lap, pretty much without any serious challenge.
OSWEGO, NY (July 7, 2015) – The mighty ISMA Supermodifieds, as well as the NEMA Midgets and NEMA Lites, return to Oswego Speedway on Saturday, July 11 for the seventh edition of the prestigious King of Wings presented by Shea Concrete and Helena Chemical Company.

Lorain, OH (June 26, 2015) -- Thirty-one years ago the International SuperModified Association ran their first race event at Lorain County Speedway. The 22 of Doug Saunier of Navarre, OH was the winner of the 1984 100-lapper. Fast forward to 2015 when ISMA returned to Lorain County and saw young NASA engineer Michael McVetta win the Friday night 50-lapper, driving his 22 to a career-first victory. McVetta, ironically just happens to be Saunier's son-in-law. It was all the more rewarding for McVetta who had crashed heavily at Oswego Speedway on June 13 and was nursing an injured finger from the incident. Unfortunately, McVetta also saw is first victory marred at race end when a broken watts link sent him into the first turn with a damaged car.
Oswego, NY (June 18, 2015) – ISMA returns to Lorain County Speedway on June 26-27 after having a long hiatus. The last time the ISMA organization competed at Ohio’s Lorain County Speedway was back on September 15, 1984. Gary Allbritain, Bentley Warren, Jamie Moore, Joe Grunda, Dave Shullick Sr., Steve Gioia, Bruce Robey and Ken Williamson finished in the top ten.
Oswego NY (June 13, 2015) – Last Thursday, Timmy Jedrzejek and his family were enjoying a vacation in North Carolina. A phone call from Howie Lane, sent them packing up and heading, not to their Ohio home, but to Oswego Speedway to drive the Lane 97 at the Saturday ISMA show. Timmy J jumped behind the wheel of the car for the first time in practice, felt comfortable and later that night led all 50 of the feature laps to his his career-fifth at Oswego Speedway and his seventh overall in ISMA.

Memorial Day Weekend’s Port City Super Spectacle featured a fierce battle between Canadians Mark Sammut and Mike Lichty, which saw Sammut dart into the lead on the race’s final corner to claim his first career Oswego victory.
