Late in the
Classic Mike Ordway Jr 41 challenges NASCAR Truck star Johnny
Benson Jr 74 for top ten positions. Benson finished sixth with
Ordway not far behind in seventh.
Bobby
Santos III 32 races wheel to wheel with Bobby Haynes Jr 44 for
top ten spots. Santos was able hang on for an eighth place
finish. After a good run, Haynes’ race unfortunately ended on
lap 78 when he had a small oil fire.
Early in
the feature Chris Perley 11 gets a wheel underneath Mike Lichty
84 to make a pass, on his way to the front.
Just past
the mid point of the feature Lou Cicconi 10 passes Johnny Benson
Jr 74 to take over fourth place on his run from the back of the
field to his third place finish. Benson wound up in sixth place.
Lou Cicconi
in the Wentworth 10 puts a low move on Russ Wood 29, late in the
feature. Cicconi eventually made the pass to go on for his
podium finish. Wood finished fourth.
A tight
battle for the Classic lead was waged, for many laps, by Jon
McKennedy 79 and Chris Perley 11. Perley got by McKennedy on lap
78 and hung on for the win.
Chris
Perley 11 chased Jon McKennedy 79 for many laps, each moving in
and out of lapped traffic. Here they fight to try and get around
Bob Bond 25, which set up some three wide racing for a couple
laps before the McKennedy and Perley were able to get by.
Scott
Martel 14 races hard with Mark Sammut 78 for top ten finishes.
Martel ended up ninth and Sammut tenth.
Chris
Perley stands tall in the All-Star Classic Victory Lane, but not
quite as tall as his trophy. This was Perley and the Vic Miller
team’s third All-Star Classic win.
